Refer & earn $100

Know another school that should be using TSNC? Refer them. When they sign up, you earn $100. Simple as that. No caps, no time limits, no fine-print gotchas.

How the program works

  1. 1
You get a unique referral code
Auto-generated when you become an org admin. Looks like STMARYS-9F2K. It's yours forever โ€” share via email, social, your school's newsletter, in conversation.
  2. 2
A school signs up using your code
They enter it during the signup flow, or use your unique link, or mention you in their initial conversation with us. We attribute the referral to you.
  3. 3
    They become a paying customer
The referral isn't for sign-ups, it's for paying customers. Schools usually convert within 30-60 days of signup if they're going to.
  4. 4
    You get $100
Paid at the start of the next month. Your choice of method: ACH direct deposit (fastest), check by mail, or credit on your TSNC bill.

No caps
Refer 10 schools, earn $1,000. Refer 50 schools, earn $5,000. We're a small bootstrapped product and word-of-mouth from real principals matters more than any ad we could buy. We'd rather pay you than Google.

Who counts as a referral

You earn for any new school that:

  • Wasn't already a TSNC customer (no double-dipping if their diocese was already signed up)
  • Becomes a paying customer (sign-ups that don't convert don't pay out)
  • Used your code, link, or named you during the signup conversation

Enterprise-level referrals pay $500

If you refer an entire diocese or archdiocese (multiple schools under one umbrella), the payout is $500, not $100. See the Enterprise refer-and-earn page.

How to refer effectively

The best referrals come from real conversations. A few patterns that work:

  • Diocesan principal meetings โ€” when the topic of cybersecurity or phishing comes up, share your experience.
  • Email to a peer principal โ€” "We've been using TSNC for 6 months and I think you'd like it. Here's my referral link."
  • Conference recommendations โ€” at events like NCEA, principals exchange tools they like. TSNC is small enough that we don't have a booth โ€” your word matters.
  • Email blast to peer schools โ€” only if your school does this kind of cross-school communication regularly. Don't spam.

Getting paid

The payout method is up to you:

  • ACH direct deposit โ€” fastest. Set up once via the Refer & Earn page; we send a small test deposit, you confirm, then payouts hit your bank within 3 days of the start of each month.
  • Check by mail โ€” for schools that prefer paper. Mailed on the 5th of each month.
  • Credit on your TSNC bill โ€” applied automatically. Useful if your school's budget is tight; you're effectively earning your subscription back.

Whichever you pick, you can change later. We don't lock you in.

FAQ

What if my school doesn't accept outside payments?+
Use the "Credit on your TSNC bill" option. The earned amount reduces your school's subscription cost, no money changes hands. Most schools find this is the easiest fit with their procurement rules.
Can a teacher refer schools?+
Currently the referral program is admin-only โ€” only Principals and IT Admins have a referral code. We may add a separate teacher-level program in the future. For now, if a teacher knows a school, they can ask their principal to make the referral.
Is there a referral code expiration?+
No. Your code is yours for as long as you're an org admin at any TSNC school. If you change schools, your code follows you.
What if my referral signs up but the relationship ends after a few months?+
Your $100 is paid out and yours, regardless of what happens to the referred school later. We don't claw back referral payments.
Are there any restrictions on who I can refer?+
Yes โ€” basic anti-fraud rules: you can't refer your own school, and you can't refer schools you have a financial conflict of interest with (e.g., you're on their board). For everything else, refer freely.
