QR Code Scam Awareness Posters

Free, ready-to-print security-awareness materials for schools and organizations of any size. Print one, hang it up, and turn a hallway into a teachable moment about “quishing” (QR phishing).

🔳

Build your poster

Hang one up. When someone scans the “tempting” QR code, it takes them to a friendly page that explains they just fell for a quishing (QR phishing) demo — and how to spot the real thing. Pick a style, add your organization’s name if you like, and print.

Choose a style

Your name appears on the page people land on after they scan — so they instantly see this was a friendly awareness test from your organization, not a real attacker, and it builds trust in your security program. Leave it blank to keep the poster generic.

Tip: in the print dialog, set margins to “Default” and enable “Background graphics” so the colors print.

💡 Why this works: making a QR code is trivial — which is exactly the lesson. Anyone can print an official-looking code that leads anywhere. After your staff get “gotcha’d” once, they’ll think twice before scanning a random code for the rest of their lives.
