A page stopped partway on a school or work network
If a ThouShaltNotClick page shows a spinner that never finishes, or a card that says part of the page didn't load, the network's web filter is usually holding one of the page's files. Here's what to try, and what to send your IT team.
Try this first
- Press Try again on the card, or reload the page.
- Open the same link on your phone with Wi-Fi turned off. If it works there, the network is the cause — not your device, and not your account. In the free lesson, the link from “Email me a link” picks up where you left off on any device.
- Ad blockers and privacy extensions usually don't need to be turned off. If a page still won't load, pausing one for this site is a quick test.
For your IT team
Send this section to whoever manages your school's or office's web filter or firewall.
1. Allow these domains
www.thoushaltnotclick.com— the pages and their scriptsapi.thoushaltnotclick.com— sign-in, saved progress, certificates, and the browser extension
Simplest rule: allow thoushaltnotclick.com and all of its subdomains.
2. Skip HTTPS inspection for the same domains
If your filter inspects encrypted traffic (often called SSL/TLS inspection or decryption), add the same domains to its bypass list. A filter that holds a script while it scans it can stop a page partway even when the site itself is allowed.
3. Category
If your filter allows or blocks by category, ThouShaltNotClick is security-awareness training for schools and families — Education is the right category.
Practice emails are a different setting. Getting phishing-simulation emails into inboxes is set up in your email system, not your web filter — see the admin guides.
